I typically smoke Squadron Leader as an all- day smoke and keep my Penzance for special occasions and moments when I feel that I deserve a special treat. The good stuff takes too long to kick in, it's almost insipid. Add to Wish List SKU: 100-8955 UPC: 781755017634 Availability: *Limit* Only 2 per order / person per day. I like this blend. I dislike the results always from overheating any tobacco with my meer, but Penzance even more so. Now if you are one of those people that chases unicorns. While Margate may have more variation and complexity, Penzance takes the kake in terms of "true" English blends I've tried (not only in terms of ingredients, but in terms of geography) in overall flavor quality. I find it appealing that this is such a well rounded tobacco, but at the same time, none of these elements shines in a way that compels me to want it the way some of my blends do. It's not so far in a different galaxy that I would pay double MSRP to get some on eBay or anything, but it's absolutely a top-tier English choice and you should try it if you find any available. However, Penzance is likely to be my travel companion because of how easily it packs and stays lit. Very rich, thick tasting. It is complex and reveals different subtleties with every bowl you smoke. I like smoking flakes, and these fall apart before they can be pushed into the pipe. After a brief search for some, however, I reconsidered my position. Trust me , it's not worth it.
